We typically start fishing / diving at top spots in or around the sheltered Whangaruru Harbour just a minute from launching. If you choose a longer option then head towards the famous Hole in the Rock or the Poor Knights Island (weather permitting) targeting either big snapper, kingfish or hapuku at the very best spots on the way.

This trip is designed as a more serious local fish, and one in which we can target big Snapper and Kingfish, and try for a crayfish bonus.
We may start fishing in sheltered waters so you become experts at fishing, and to catch live baits, but then we go to other top fishing spots in the area to catch fish of all sorts, and especially to target big fish. All the rods, bait, tackle use and expert tuition is included. If you want we may try to pull up a pre-set crayfish pot to try to get you a bonus.
